About Us
PetRescue.Net was formed on January 11, 2008, as a no-kill, non-profit organization by a network of dedicated volunteers. Our mission is to:
• Rescue unwanted or abandoned animals and place them in permanent homes.
• Assist those who are financially struggling to keep their pets with them.
• Educate the general public about pet related concerns.
• Reduce the plight of homeless animals.
In January, 2010, we moved office furniture, cat supplies, previously donated items, a cat perch and ten cats from foster homes, into our new facility on John R. We are very proud of this accomplishment and the volunteers who help to maintain the facility and the animals. We have now grown to include a couple of litters of kittens and more adult cats including two senior cats. As you can see, if we want to continue rescuing animals, we need your help more than ever. .
As a non-profit organization we rely solely on donations and volunteers. A list of items can be found on our wish list. We will gladly accept any pet related items you can donate new or used. Our immediate need is for cat and kitten food as well as cat litter, both scoopable and clay to be used for the cats and kittens living at the shelter facility.
If you can help or have resources to help with fundraising, grant writing, publishing and printing, stuffing envelopes, fostering or participating in adoption events please contact us via email or call us at (248) 439-1606.
We look forward to hearing from you.
